Heating company wins first Which? Trusted Trader award!

Winner of the Which Awards 2015 South London Heating

South London Heating, a gas heating services provider based in Penge, has won Which? Trusted Trader of the Year 2015, at the annual Which? Awards ceremony that took place on 17 June.

The company was competing against three other shortlisted traders in Day and Knight – Bedroom Design and Fitting (based in Slough); Electricians in Reading (Reading); and James Regan Construction Ltd (Ongar, Essex).

The ninth Which? Awards ceremony was co-hosted by TV presenter Steph McGovern and Which? group chief executive Peter Vicary-Smith.

The Which? Trusted Trader of the Year 2015 award highlights traders endorsed by the consumer magazine's Trusted Traders scheme, who have worked hard to focus their businesses on what consumers want and delivered consistently high standards of customer service. The free-to-use service is aimed at helping potential customers find an endorsed local tradesperson. All traders have to pass an assessment process that includes face-to-face interviews and financial checks before receiving trusted status.

South London Heating has been a member of the Trusted Traders scheme for over a year. During that time the company has achieved good customer reviews and was rated five out of five in all the scheme’s set categories.

"We’re thrilled to have won the first ever Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award," said Mark Gallagher, director of South London Heating. “Being endorsed by Which? Trusted Traders has been brilliant because it means that people know that our business has been assessed by experts. Being awarded the Trusted Trader of the Year 2015 only reinforces our pledge to surpass the high standards that we've achieved here at South London Heating.”

Stephen McCluskey, managing director at Which? Trusted Traders, said: “Traders like South London Heating that take pride in their work and deliver consistently high standards of customer service are not only good for consumers, they are setting the benchmark for their profession.”
